Things to do in Spring!

Things to do in Spring!

Springtime.

I could basically taste it. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.) Lately, every time I’ve stepped out of my accommodation, whether to do my daily grocery shopping or attend a lecture at university, I can feel the change in the air. Despite how much the warm weather makes me anxious (aka the unexpected bugs and endless breakdowns about what to wear), I’m quite excited.

Therefore, in honour of the commencing of the spring season, I thought I’d share with you my personal favourite springtime activities I love to do.

Baking

I don’t know why it is, but for some reason, I have associated baking activities with spring. (It may or may have not something to do with the lockdown over the past two years.) But last year, I got into this hobby of making something, mainly food.

Picnics

love going on picnics! Although, it is uncomfortable at times and it’s a little difficult to find a suitable position without having to blind your eyes while still wanting to be under the sun. I also love to do group-based activities by myself, and one of them is going on picnics. There is just something so peaceful about it.

Reading

I mean, are we even surprised? There’s nothing more that can bring me contentment other than relaxing under the sun while reading, and it’s even more fun if you have a bowl of fruits next to you and listening to some springtime music.

Go for a walk

Or for a run, but I personally prefer walking. Not only are you getting your steps in, but you’re also soaking in that wonderful vitamin D as well as taking in the magnificent view. You can see the grass turning green and the flowers sprouting. There’s nothing more magical than that.

Listen to music

Just like baking, I have certain music that I associate with the spring season, and I thought I’d share it with you! Happy listening, ladies and gents! And happy spring! 🙂
