Can you believe that it’s just one month left until Christmas? And it’s nearly the end of 2021?
Time flies… We have all been through a lot this year. Let us leave aside all the bitterness for a moment and enjoy the festive season!

From Thursday 4 November to Thursday 23 December 2021, go walk around the city centre, Victoria Square, New Street and Bull Ring for one of the biggest Christmas markets. You can find all sorts of stores selling all types of Christmas-related products, Christmas gifts, decorations, sweets and foods.

• Winter Wonderland
The Big Wheel and ice rink is back in Centenary Square! You can enjoy the fantastic views of Birmingham and experience ice skating from 4 November 2021 to 16 January 2022 (except Christmas Day) in Centenary Square, which is just outside the Library of Birmingham, a close walk from University College Birmingham’s campus.

• Try out Christmas recipes
What’s your favourite Christmas food? Roast? Turkey? Christmas Pudding? Gingerbread? Yule Log? Panettone? Why not take the opportunity to try out new recipes and cook for your family or friends?
• Christmas movies
Who doesn’t like watching movies? Finish your gathering with a Christmas movie! The good old Home Alone, to Grinch and Last Christmas. This is also a good way to spend time with your friends and family after dinner.

Finally, spend some valuable time with your family and friends. In this festive season, no matter if you’re home or aboard studying/working, it’s always lovely to call them or, even better, go back home to visit them.
